SheSpeaks is a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) that was born from the cries of "What’s the point? I will wait months, I need help now!" From single mums and women navigating their way through trauma and grief.

Grounded in the belief that connection and feeling part of a community is not a luxury—it’s a lifeline. Our model exists to empower women who are awaiting traditional mental health support by creating inclusive, trauma-informed spaces that foster emotional expression, connection, and resilience.

We focus on early intervention and empowerment for women who often fall between systemic gaps, serving as a vital bridge between need and care by inviting you to join our circles.

I have been a holistic therapist for nearly a decade. In addition to this, I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and currently training to become an instructor in Mental Health First Aid.

My lived experience with ADHD and periods of poor mental health, from the age of 13, often connected to grief, has shaped my commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for others.

I understand the challenges of long waiting times, the isolation of carrying struggles alone, holding it in and feeling unable to speak the truth.

From this grew the importance of connection without judgment.

Today, I dedicate my work to empowering individuals through compassion, authenticity, and holistic care—offering support, non judgmental listening and a space where emotion is not only allowed but is embraced as part of the journey.

I have worked within health care as a nurse for 26 years and I see myself as a Holistic Therapy Enthusiast.

For many years now I have wondered if nursing was enough and I took the leap and left as I felt a pull towards mental health. I have recently set up workshops for children to help navigate their feelings and emotions and now I have been given the opportunity to facilitate a women's circle with SheSpeaks.

I have personal experience of trauma and I know how debilitating this can be especially for women as we are often seen as having a duty to keep everything together for everyone else. It is exhausting! The impact of this trauma has left a huge dint in my self esteem and self worth and it has been a battle that I have been fighting all of my life, even to this day.

I believe that support and togetherness are not optional, they are part of being human.
